Part A
Warming up

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.  Good morning, everyone. Today we are going to talk about SOMETHING THAT YOU HAVE WATCHED OR WITNESSED.

Before we begin, I’d like to ask you some questions.

  1. Have you ever watched a movie about a true story?
  2. Have you ever witnessed an accident or a crime?

You can refer to the sample answer by watching the following video.

Without looking at the video script, please complete some missing words.

 

  1. Have you ever watched a movie about a true story?

Yes, I have, but I can’t ___________ the whole story. It’s about a poor boy who became successful after more than 15 years lived under a dirty bridge. He ___________ several accidents because of it. Life in movies is certainly different from real life. In real life, there is no script

With a book, you can read chapter by chapter in detail about a story. However, a movie is normally _____________  to its viewing time which lasts only less than two hours. Therefore, the story I find an adapted version is unappealing.
